Stages of the evaluation process
The evaluation process has 3 phases:
- Initial
- Ongoing
- Final
The activities in each phase are described in the following paragraphs.
Initial phase
- The initial phase starts automatically by creating a new evaluation.
- In this phase, the employee answers the questions published for the initial phase. If the evaluation contains objectives (i.e. the objectives are checked in the template of this evaluation), the employee defines one or more objectives and determines their weight.
- After completing the objectives and responses, the employee submits the evaluation to their supervisor for approval.
- In case of discrepancies, the supervisor can return the evaluation to the employee for correction. After correction, the evaluation is sent again for approval.
- Before approval, the supervisor will answer your questions.
- The initial phase ends with the approval of the set goals and answered questions for this phase.
Ongoing phase
- The ongoing phase begins automatically when the supervisor approves the initial phase evaluation.
- During this phase, both the employee and the supervisor can record the ongoing achievement of goals at any time and answer the questions of the ongoing phase.
- If necessary, goals can be corrected at this stage – add/remove goals or adjust the weights of individual goals. corrected goals must be approved by the supervisor again.
- The ongoing phase lasts until the final phase begins.
Final phase
- The final phase can be initiated in one of the following ways:
- automatically on the day predetermined in the evaluation
- manually by starting the Start Final Phase action
- The employee records the final values of the achievement of their goals in percentage and answers the questions for the final phase.
- They then send the evaluation to their supervisor for approval.
- In case of discrepancies, the supervisor can return the evaluation for correction (similar to the initial phase).
- Before approval, the supervisor notes the achievement of the goals from their perspective and answers their questions.
- The entire evaluation process is then completed by the supervisor with the Approve and Close action.
